It’s official – Monday, January, 16 is set to be the most depressing day of the year.
The Christmas festivities are over, we’ve exhausted our bank accounts, abandoned resolutions, our waistlines have expanded and a glance through the window reminds us that we’ve got some gloomy January weather to top it all off. Those factors combined led a British holiday company to declare that the third Monday in January is therefore the most miserable day of the year – and the idea of Blue Monday was born.
The phenomenon has definitely caught on and many of us have come to dread Blue Monday. But, all is not lost. It doesn’t have to be this way. We say fight back against the gloom – and to help you on your way, we’ve put together a few ideas of our own.
