As festival season gets in full swing, one of Chester’s most dynamic bars and restaurants, The Botanist, located on St Werburgh Street in the City Centre, is celebrating performing more than 10,000 live gigs by holding a special event on 23rd July 2016.
The Botanist Chester, part of a collection of New World Trading Company (NWTC) bars (the operating company behind The Botanist), will be one of many bars taking part in the 10,000 gig celebrations and hosting a special live night of music featuring Kick Back Sundays.
Celebrations for the milestone will kick off with a UK tour, where vibrant duo Kick Back Sundays will be road-tripping the UK in a VW camper van, hitting each of NWTC’s venues with a live gig of the company’s top 40 most loved and requested tracks. The tour will commence at London’s Trading House on the 7th July and culminate at Manchester’s Oast House on 31st July, where the very first gig was played back in late 2011.
CEO Chris Hill said “Live entertainment is at the very core of our offering, working with Genre Music means we are always delivering the very best of local talent in the area. Booking daily live gigs is one aspect which sets us apart from others in the industry – so celebrating 10,000 gigs booked is an incredible number for our company to celebrate”.
The Botanist will also be holding a competition throughout the campaign, giving locals the chance to win VIP tickets, travel and accommodation to watch the 10,000 gig being held at Manchester’s Oast House or a £100 bar tab at The Botanist, Chester. NWTC work alongside Genre Music Agency filling the daily UK gigs with fresh local artists in each location, supporting new talent and giving young artists a platform to perform in their local area.
The Botanist, part of the award winning World Trading Company, launched in 2014 and offers an eclectic mix of cocktails, craft beers and ales as well as deli and rotisserie inspired food.
