The Chester Grosvenor received AA Notable Wine List Award

The Chester Grosvenor’s fine dining restaurant ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’ has received an AA Notable Wine List Award for the second consecutive year, one of only 257 UK establishments to receive this prestigious accolade.

Renowned for its Michelin star held since 1990 and named in honour of Executive Chef Simon Radley, the restaurant has added to its extensive list of awards and accolades, being voted Best Hotel Restaurant at the European Hospitality Awards in 2015 and more recently retaining its listing in the Sunday Times’ Top 100 Restaurants in the UK.

The hotel’s Riedel Cellar, under the stewardship of Head Sommelier Derek Scaife, runs beneath Eastgate Street and is home to over 700 bins which include the illustrious Chateau Pétrus.

Speaking of the award Jaime McCormack, Restaurant Manager, said: “As a team, we are delighted to be achieving this award for the second year running. Maintaining the quality of our wine list, whilst striving to improve our offering with new and interesting wines is a daily challenge and one that Derek takes to with aplomb. We are very proud to see the time, care and passion shown to our list being recognised yet again and furthermore we look forward to bettering ourselves in the year ahead.”
