Chester’s Business Improvement District company CH1ChesterBID has rallied a mixture of Chester’s most-loved businesses for ‘The Big Christmas Giveaway’
Prizes being given away throughout December include a family hamper worth more than £2,000 and more than 20 other gifts
With Chester’s enchanting programme of festive activity launched in recent days, CH1ChesterBID has added to the excitement by announcing the city’s most impressive Christmas competition ever with more than £5,000 in prizes up for grabs.
The Big Christmas Giveaway brings together a host of Chester’s favourite independent and high street businesses to spread some extra Christmas cheer this year, offering the public the chance to win a range of gifts from December 1st – 21st.
Prizes include an overnight stay with breakfast at The Coach House, a wine tasting experience from Veeno, a sterling silver and 9ct gold ‘Clogau’ Honey Bee affinity stretch bracelet from Rigby Jewellers, a £200 voucher to spend in Lakeland and a bonus prize of £200 to give towards one winner’s chosen charity this Christmas.
The family hamper this year – the top prize given away on December 21st – has an incredible selection of goodies to make one family’s Christmas dreams come true. Gifts include his and hers perfumes, a no7 make-up gift set, plus a free beauty pamper from Clarins and a makeover at any premium counter from Boots, a 9ct White Gold Cubic Zirconia Pendant from Beaverbrooks and a Christmas family meal voucher for £100 at PizzaExpress Chester.
All gifts have been sourced from businesses within CH1ChesterBID’s designated BID area – which includes more than 500 city centre businesses – to encourage more people into the city centre to enjoy Chester’s festive retail offering.
“It’s wonderful to be bringing back the Big Christmas Giveaway, which was a huge success in 2017,” said Judy Tagell, Marketing Manager at CH1ChesterBID.
“Our businesses love Christmastime in Chester and have really got into the Christmas spirit – the prizes this year are amazing!
“We’re incredibly fortunate to have an amazing array of businesses right here in the heart of our city. They offer everything from gaming to homeware, and fashion to food and drink! As a retail destination, Chester has everything you could want this Christmas.
“Our competition was created to thank Cestrians for all their support over the past year and bring added festive fun to the city, whilst also celebrating the uniqueness of Chester’s retailers.
“The final winner will be announced live on Friday 21 December from the Grosvenor Shopping centre, with the lucky winner walking away with a hamper worth more than £2,000.
“The competition is entirely free for the public to enter so it will be great to see everyone getting involved and joining in throughout December.”
