#DementiaDO…the Basics is a free dementia education session, open and available for anyone to attend. Come and learn more about this progressive brain disease and the day-to-day impact of it. Not just from me either, but from a real expert in the disease, none other than my mate Tommy Dunne who lives with early onset Alzheimer’s.
To date, over 7000 people have attended the session including health and social care staff, people with dementia and their carers, students, members of the public and anyone who needs to know more about this disease.
The session itself meets outcome requirements of NHS Tier 1 mandated dementia education AND incorporates principles of Dementia Friends, an Alzheimer’s Society initiative, so everyone will receive a certificate of attendance, a handout and a dementia friends badge too!
The FREE #DementiaDo session takes place on Tuesday 6th November 2018 from 1pm-3.30pm at Storyhouse.
