Dino duck fits the bill for CH1ChesterBID

Feathers have been ruffled across Chester this week after CH1ChesterBID released images of a dinosaur-inspired duck that will represent the Business Improvement District in Chester’s fourth annual duck race.

‘BIDduckasaurus’ will take to the River Dee on Saturday 24 September in homage to two free citywide Dino trails – organised by CH1ChesterBID in partnership with Chester Zoo and Big Heritage – that saw thousands of children and families visiting the city centre this summer.

Julie Charlton, CH1ChesterBID’s Marketing Manager said: “Dinosaurs roared their way into Chester city centre with our two free trails this summer and now we’re hoping that BIDduckasurus can roar us to glory in the corporate duck race.

“Every year this event gets bigger. It’s a fantastic charity initiative through the Countess of Chester Hospital that we’re very pleased to support. There should be some big crowds on the day and we’re sure it will be a great event. May the best duck win!”

Chester’s annual duck race is a fundraising event organised by the Countess of Chester’s Babygrow Appeal, which hopes to raise £3 million to build a new neonatal unit in the city.

The general public are also being invited to vote for the ‘Best Dressed’ corporate duck – a prize won by CH1ChesterBID last year – by liking their favourite designs on the Countess of Chester Hospital fundraising team’s Facebook page here.
