Chester Music Festival Chorus presents ‘Behold the Sea’

On Saturday 1st July the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be joining forces with the Chester Festival Chorus and the Leeds Philharmonic Chorus in Chester Cathedral to perform Vaughan Williams’ Sea Symphony under the baton of David Hill with soloists Sarah Fox and Roderick Williams. Sarah has performed with the Festival Chorus before but this will be Roderick Williams first appearance in Chester; Roderick is arguably this country’s finest and quite possibly favourite baritone. Also in the programme will be Delius’ Walk to the Paradise Garden and Elgar’s Sea Pictures with soloist Jennifer Johnston who began her now illustrious solo career as a member of the RLPChorus.
