Chester Pride

Chester Pride

Chester Pride returns to the city on Saturday 1st October. The day brings together live music, a funfair, kids’activities and a parade to celebrate equality, diversity and support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

The annual Chester Pride parade kicks off at Castle Square at 12 noon, lapping the city with colourful costumes, dance models and music. Back at Castle Square, live music takes over three stages – The Main Stage, The Glitter Lounge and the Drum with our Hands Original Music Tent – with local and national acts, and some well know names.

The Pride fairground returns with loads of old-school carnival fun, while there are games and activities for kids in the youth zone. The market place will be well stocked with great local food producers and popup gift shops.

The Health, Life and Wellbeing Zone will be back at the event giving Free confidential advice and information. This year’s event is focused on raising awareness of the mental health issues that face the LGBT community. Information and support will be available on the day or the website
