An evening of Christmas music is a surefire way to sprinkle some holiday spirit into the festive season.

Head to Chester city centre to experience Chester’s Christmas Voices Music Festival!

This exciting 2-hour festival of singing will include a series of pop-up performances across the city centre by choirs of all generations. Explore the city centre and experience our enchanting Christmas lights and music along your journey.

The event will culminate with a mass sing-a-long on Eastgate Street, featuring the Chester Heritage Bus and a specially created Christmas Music Medley lead by Matt Baker from Theatre in the Quarter.

Thursday 1st December, 4-6pm
4.00-4.15pm Singalong from Heritage Bus on Eastgate Street
4.15-5.25pm Pop Up Choir Performances at 6 locations*
5.30-6.00pm Christmas Medley and Singalong on Eastgate Street featuring ‘real’ snow from Chester’s Heritage Bus and Light Projections
7.00pm Lantern Parade – starting from Town Hall down St Werburgh, Eastgate St, Bridge St, back up Northgate Street and ending at the Christmas Market in the Town Hall Square.

In addition:

  • The Chester Victorian Choir will be doing on the go pop up performances around the city centre from 4.00-5.25pm
  • Santa’s Workshop will also be open from 4-8pm with activities including: writing letters to Santa, Christmas Colouring Sheets, making your own Christmas cards, and gift wrapping courtesy Claire House – ALL FREE with donations accepted.
