Free Family Film Screening: Rio

Free Family Film Screening: Rio

Every Tuesday throughout the summer holidays you can take your kids on an epic adventure with our FREE Family Film Screenings at Chester’s Grosvenor Museum! You’re welcome to just turn up but booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.

Film Summary: In Rio de Janeiro a baby macaw called Blu is captured by dealers and smuggled to the USA. While driving through Moose Lake, Minnesota, the truck that is transporting Blu accidentally drops his box on the road! A little girl called Linda finds the bird and lovingly raises him. Fifteen years later, Blu is living a comfortable life in a bookshop, when suddenly a clumsy Brazilian ornithologist, Tulio, visits Linda and explains that Blu is the last male of his species, and there is a female called Jewel in Rio de Janeiro eager to meet him. Follow the adventures of Linda, Blu, Tulio and Jelwel as they try to escape smugglers through the action packed streets of Rio’s Carnival festival.

Timings: The film will commence at 11.05am.  After this time remaining seats will be allocated to someone else on a first come, first served basis at the museum on the day.  We advise arriving at least 15 minutes before the film’s scheduled start time.
