Since his appointment at the start of the year, Peter Lewis, City Centre manager, has established himself as the go-to man for the Chester business community.
With hundreds of individual and personal visits already under his belt, Peter devotes his time to BID businesses, working closely with the BID team to identify and resolve the issues that matter to the business community.
His work generally falls under three key areas:
- Direct and personal actions
- Reporting issues for action to Cheshire West and Chester Council
- Forging links and enabling clear lines of communication to build a collective One City, One Voice approach
Peter says: “My aim is to be visible and approachable. I want all our members to feel that they are being supported and that someone is available to discuss any issues and look to resolve them. As a BID team, our primary aims are to attract more people to Chester by creating a world-class city for its visitors and a shopping centre that provides a unique experience.
“I should be the first port of call for any BID business with an issue which requires external action. I work closely with the local authorities and agencies within the business community in Chester and if I can’t find a resolution I can certainly point you in the right direction. So please get in touch and we’ll work together to solve the problem.”
