Recognition award for Chester business owner

A Chester business owner has been recognised for his contribution to the business community.

Robert Ellis, director of Ellis & Co Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers received a special recognition award during the West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Ball & Recognition Awards.

The awards, held on Friday, November 15 at the Chester Racecourse, saw over 300 guests celebrate the success of Chamber members over the last 12 months.

Robert received the ‘special recognition award’ for his contribution to the business community over the last 30 years.

Robert established Ellis & Co in 1989, 30 years on Ellis & Co is one of the leading accountants and advisers in Chester and Wrexham.

Robert, who is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, has been the driving force behind the firm’s success, standing by his original business plan to make Ellis & Co ‘more than just accountants’.

“I was delighted to reveal Robert as the recipient if our Special Recognition Award,” said Debbie Bryce, chief executive officer at West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce.

“Robert is highly respected in the local community and it’s hard to believe that he is celebrating 30 years in business this year!

“Robert has dedicated a significant amount of his time to selflessly helping others selflessly and does so much to support businesses across the region.

“Well done Robert, this award is very much deserved!”

Robert added: “I was very humbled and honoured to receive this award.

“Huge thanks to Debbie and all at the Chamber for the award, and thank you to our clients, contacts and my wonderful team for their continued support.”
