Winners over the past 20 years have come from Hale, Wilmslow, Congleton, Holmes Chapel, Rosset, Malpas, Wirral, Chester and all parts in between, making these a special “Taste of Cheshire”.

Taste Cheshire General Manager, Briony Wilson said, “We opened the polls on Friday with a soft launch to make sure everything was working and we have already had over 2,000 votes cast. It thrills us all to know that our Taste Cheshire members and the many customers of our fabulous food and drink industry across Cheshire and North Wales want to take part in nominating their favourite places and produce.

Its been another incredible year for the industry with many new venues, more food producers and these awards highlight those who are at the very top of their game, giving them the plaudits they richly deserve.”

The process to vote is simple and we encourage you to vote for your favourite place in each category by going on line to www.tastecheshire.com  and visiting the awards page. Voting is free so get involved now. You can vote for whomever you wish in each category, but only one voting form will register from each computer.

When the voting finishes on Monday 2nd of March, Taste Cheshire will name the four/five nominations of finalists in each category who will  then be mystery dined/shopped by a panel of industry judges. These judges will then complete a report on each venue/product, which then becomes available to the venue after the winners have been announced at the awards dinner, showing how their business was judged.

The 2020 winners will be crowned at the gala dinner on the 15th April which will be held at the Pavilion at Chester Racecourse. Tickets for this night are just £55.00 per person with a table of ten costing just £500 and include a pre-dinner cocktail and a 4 course gala meal provided by Horseradish Catering.

This is the one night of the year the hospitality industry, collectively lets its hair down and it is always one of the feature nights of the calendar.
