Following the latest Gov’t announcement, there are a number of new restrictions you need to be aware of.
From 24th Sept pubs, bars and restaurants must offer table service only and hospitality, leisure, entertainment and tourism businesses all have to close between 10pm and 5am.
The vast majority of businesses of Chester have already been wearing masks or face covers but not this is an official requirement.
Table service only for hospitality businesses including:
- restaurants, including hotel dining rooms and members’ clubs
- cafes (not including cafes or canteens at workplaces where there is no practical alternative for staff at that workplace, cafes or canteens at hospitals, care homes, schools, prisons and establishments intended for use for naval, military or air force purposes, or services and for providing food or drink to the homeless)
- bars including bars in hotels or members’ clubs
- pubs
- amusement arcades or other indoor leisure centres or facilities
- bingo halls
Delivery orders must be received through a website, or other online communication, by telephone, by text message or by post.
Nightclubs, dance halls, and discotheques, sexual entertainment venues and hostess bars must remain closed nationally.
The rule of six, introduced 14th Sept, states that any social gatherings of more than six people are against the law, is being extended to all adult indoor team sports. Fines of up to £4,000 can be issued to businesses who fail to comply.
Businesses will need to display an official NHS QR code posters for people to check-in. Create a coronavirus NHS QR code for your venue.
From Monday 28th Sept, a maximum of 15 people will be allowed to attend wedding ceremonies and receptions, but the limit remains at 30 for funerals.
